Join CreaTer

Education providers in New Zealand’s university, polytechnic, wānanga and PTE sectors who deliver creative arts and tech programmes, certificates, diplomas, and degrees are invited to join CreaTer.

Organisations engaged in delivering or supporting the provision of creative arts and tech education in sectors adjacent to the tertiary education sector are also welcome to join CreaTer.

Members connect across the education ecosystem to advance creative arts and tech education as a core contributor to individual, cultural, social and economic prosperity and quality of life.

Our common kaupapa is developing creative people, careers, and communities by providing creative arts and tech education in the tertiary sector.

All members are required to sign the CreaTer Memorandum of Understanding.

Applying for CreaTer membership is easy

CreaTer membership is allocated to tertiary education providers including universities, polytechnics, wānanga and private training establishments (PTEs).

National and regional organisations in sectors adjacent to the tertiary education sector that support the delivery of creative arts and tech education are also eligible to join.

Within universities, individual faculties are counted as one member. Therefore, a university may have more than one membership if there are several participating faculties.

Across all categories of tertiary education providers, one CreaTer membership enables up to three representatives to participate in CreaTer hui, meetings and other events.

Organisations in adjacent sectors that join CreaTer may be represented by up to two representatives.

Membership fees

Membership fees are paid annually. Invoices are sent in February of each year.

Larger institutions in the tertiary education sector that are not designated universities: $1000 + GST

Universities: $1000 + GST

Small institutions in the tertiary education sector: $500 + GST

National organisations supporting creative arts education: $750 + GST

Small regional organisations supporting creative arts education: $500 + GST
